Cloud is a modern form of data processing that facilitates use of advanced software technologies without the need of licensing, installing on owned hardware, or administering the system. The foundation of cloud computing is widely understood virtualization of resources, i.e.: servers, desktops, mass storages, network infrastructure. There are three models of cloud computing: SaaS, IaaS and PaaS.

SaaS (Software as a Service)

The software is assessed via a web browser. The Customer has access to the different applications – not necessarily connected to each other with a single interface.

Payment fee is charged per every service transaction and access to the software is granted on demand.

e.g. access to ERP system

IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)

IaaS offers computer infrastructure. It eliminates the need for: purchase of servers and software licenses; creation of data center site; network equipment. The Customers do not have to worry about backups, security and availability of certain functions in their own infrastructure.

e.g. hire of computing power

PaaS (Platform as a Service)

Customers get a computer platform and a solution pack facilitating application deployment. The solution eliminates expenditures connected with purchase and maintenance of equipment and employment of qualified staff required for management of the resources.

e.g. virtual desktop, license and application availability
